Lâle Başarır received her master’s degree in Architectural Design Computing from Istanbul Technical University and completed her PhD in Architecture at Izmir Institute of Technology. She participated in the Singularity University GPS program at NASA Ames Research Center in 2009. Currently an Associate Professor at Izmir University of Economics, her research focuses on AI-assisted architectural design, computational methodologies, disaster-resilient strategies, and coastal environments. She contributes to architectural competitions and initiatives at the intersection of design, technology, and creativity. She also serves on the Executive Board and Informatics & Technology Committee of the Izmir Chamber of Architects, contributing to the development of new architectural standards in the face of emerging technologies.
